 I am a 75 year old patient of Dr. Clare.  He has assisted me with my foot and back problems for quite a while.  Let me begin by saying that I do not heal well and with my arthritis my bones do not mend properly.  I try to avoid surgical procedures whenever possible.  I experienced a bad fall.  My right knee was split  from the outer side, across under the knee cap and down about 3 more inches.  It was a very deep cut and approximately 2 inches wide.  I delayed going to urgent care for 24 hours.  Then they gave a cream, instructions and sent home.  Finally went to my primary care physician.  It probably should have been stitched, too late now.  He cleaned, measured, gave strong antibiotic, instructions and to return in seven days.  The next day, during an appointment with Dr. Clare, I asked him to look at it.  He did and suggested trying a Laser Treatment to help heal it.  He did a laser treatment that day.  The next day 60 to 70 percent of the soreness was gone.  I was amazed.  Six days later I returned to my primary physician.  He said the wound was healing very well.  He measured the wound again and was astonished.  His comment was quote "I don't believe it".  Seven days earlier the measurement was 9.3 cm, now it measured 8.0 cm.  I informed him of the laser treatment that Dr. Clare did.  Dr. Clare continued the laser treatments on the wound.  They have helped the situation abundanlty and shortend my healing time greatly.  I thank you Dr. Clare for your caring support and help.-Shirley S.

I am a 75 year old patient of Dr. Clare.  He has assisted me with my foot and back problems for quite a while.  Let me begin by saying that I do not heal well and with my arthritis my bones do not mend properly. I am trying to avoid surgical procedures if possible.  My left foot and ankle are in very poor condition.  The joints are separating at the top of my foot, a bone spur on the bottom of foot, the cushion on heel worn off, and arthritis and sever swelling, just to list a few of my problems.  Dr. Clare talked with me about getting laser treatments and I agreed to try it.  He did the treatments twice a week for ten weeks.  The laser did help on the day of treatment with comfort and swelling.  And as a whole, the swelling and pain has diminished about forty percent as long as I'm sitting down.  But walking is still very painful.  The act of walking and applying pressure continues to increase the swelling and pain.  Not much improvement in this area of concern.  I thank Dr. Clare for your caring support and help.  -Shirley S.
